Former president Donald Trump released a statement saying his Mar-a-Lago residence was “under siege” and “raided” by the FBI after the bureau executed a search warrant Monday.

Apparently the FBI also “broke into (his) safe!” according to Trump who also claimed the “unannounced raid” was “prosecutorial misconduct, the weaponization of the justice system, and an attack by radical left Democrats who desperately don’t want me to run for president in 2024.”

Trump was in New York City during the search of his West Palm Beach residence which according to reports was done over classified documents Trump took from the White House at the end of his presidential term back in 2021.

“two sources familiar with the search said it was related to allegations that Trump allies improperly removed boxes of presidential records from the White House after leaving office—including some that may have included classified information. One of those sources said the raid took ‘hours.'”

Despite, however, Trump’s cries of “prosecutorial misconduct” the former president is entangled in multiple investigations into his time in the White House. These investigations include his role in the January 6 far-right riots that took place at the U.S. Capitol back in 2021 as well as his alleged mishandling of sensitive White House documents that may have ended up at Mar-a-Lago and/or flushed down a White House toilet.

The right is losing their collective minds

Meanwhile, the right has been losing their collective minds over the search of Mar-a-Lago following Trump’s lead in the hyperbole. This includes House minority leader Kevin McCarthy who seemingly issued a threat to attorney general Merrick Garland eluding to an investigation into the Department of Justice over potential white-collar crimes that hit a little too close to home.

Aside from that, you get the usual absurd claims which come in like clockwork whenever there’s any exposure.

The Benghazi investigations eclipsed the congressional investigations into 9/11…
