Eight months after the release of “Revival” Eminem delighted fans with the announcement that he would add a 13 track followup entitled “Kamikaze”. Among those 13 tracks was the lead-in called “The Ringer” in which the Detroit artist — who is a pretty vocal critic of Donald Trump — seemed to have claimed to be questioned by the Secret Service based on the lines “‘Cause Agent Orange just sent the Secret Service / To meet in person to see if I really think of hurtin’ him / Or ask if I’m linked to terrorists / I said, ‘Only when it comes to ink and lyricists.'”

Although the Secret Service didn’t comment on whether or not the claim from Eminem was true, BuzzFeed News filed a Freedom of Information Act to obtain any possible related documention. And what BuzzFeed received this week were 40 pages detailing that Eminem’s claims were in fact true.

According to the documents obtained by BuzzFeed, the Secret Service did indeed question Eminem due to what they say were “threatening lyrics” on the “Framed” track from “Revival”. The Secret Service also noted that Eminem was “exhibiting inappropriate behavior” that “threatens protectee”.

The government was apparently tipped off by a TMZ employee on December 15, 2017 the day “Revival” dropped with the report stating “a concerned citizen reported Marshall Mathers the rapper ‘Eminem’ had a new song called ‘Framed’ with an inappropriate comment towards President Donald Trump and a threatening comment towards Ivanka Trump.”

The TMZ employee followed up stating that this wasn’t the “first time” Eminem made threats towards Donald Trump.

TMZ didn’t return requests for comment by BuzzFeed.
