A 17-year-old identified as Kyle Rittenhouse of Antioch, Illinois been arrested in connection with a series of shootings in Kenosha, Wisconsin. This coming in the wake of the Jacob Blake shooting by police and the subsequent protests as a result.

Rittenhouse according to multiple reports has been taken into custody by Antioch Police and booked on first-degree intentional homicide. He’s currently being held by the Lake County Judicial System pending a hearing to transfer custody from Illinois to Wisconsin.

Right-wing armed militias descend on Kenosha

It’s believed that a number of right-wing militias have been descending onto Kenosha since the protesting broke out this past week with a number of the members walking the streets armed.

Here’s a local Kenosha shop owner detailing on how he helped shelter protesters from the armed militias roaming the streets:

As far as Rittenhouse goes, it’s unclear if he had any direct association with a right-wing militia or if he was directly responsible for all of the shootings last night that ended up killing two and wounding one.

What is undeniable though is he was involved in at least one of those shootings as you can see from the graphic video below that shows Rittenhouse running, falling to the ground, and eventually shooting an individual before getting up and walking away.

Although it hasn’t been confirmed, there has been speculation that the reason Rittenhouse was initially running was due to him being involved in another shooting just prior and that protesters were actually trying to get him apprehended.

Cops complicit

Among the other disturbing videos to surface last night were cops handing water out to Rittenberg and telling him that they “appreciate” him being there.

Again it’s unclear if the video above was filmed after any of the shootings took place, however, what is clear is the Kenosha Police Department took an entirely different approach to Kyle Rittenberg with a gun than they did with Jacob Blake who didn’t have a gun.

In the video below, Rittenhouse approaches police strapped with his weapon, albeit with his hands up but as witnesses were shouting at the cops that he (Rittenhouse) was the shooter. Police did absolutely nothing, letting him pass by even as they were responding to a shooting and despite someone walking in the opposite direction with a gun.

Now lets say people weren’t shouting at the police that the guy walking down the street just shot someone. Wouldn’t you want to at least stop the guy and talk to him to see what he knows about the shooting that you are actively responding to?
