Donald Trump, the President of the United States has been ordered by a California Superior Court judge to pay Stephanie Clifford, otherwise known as Stormy Daniels $44,100 to cover legal fees in a legal battle over a nondisclosure agreement.

CNN:

Clifford, an adult-film actress who says she had an affair with Trump from 2006 to 2007, signed a $130,000 nondisclosure agreement with former Trump attorney Michael Cohen, who represented a shell company and a “David Dennison,” which Clifford contends is a pseudonym for Trump. Trump denies the affair occurred.

Clifford sued Trump in 2018, seeking to be released from the NDA. In response, Trump and his legal team agreed outside of court not to sue or otherwise enforce the NDA. The suit was dismissed and Clifford’s claims ruled moot, as the NDA had been rendered unenforceable.

Under normal circumstances, the details surrounding the entirely of this you’d think would be enough to be game over for an administration let alone a presidential campaign for reelection. But this is 2020 folks and Donald Trump probably won’t lose any support or see his numbers go down in the polls as a result. Not that they necessarily should, not for this at least.

If Donald Trump wants to be a scumbag and cheat on his wife who at the time just gave birth to his kid then that’s his business. Much like it was Bill Clinton’s business to get a blow job in the Oval Office which I’m sure wasn’t the first time that has ever happened, I mean John F. Kennedy was in office for almost three years.

What is amusing about the whole Trump and Stormy Daniels saga though is evangelicals continuing to twist themselves up and turn on the spin cycle full blast in an effort to continue their justification in supporting the guy.

But needless to say, if you want to draw a line on what should disqualify a candidate or sitting president from seeking re-election, how about credible accusations of sexual misconduct which means goodbye Trump and Joe Biden simultaneously.
