Legendary Scottish actor Sean Connery has passed away at the age of 90 according to his family.

The actor reportedly died in the Bahamas in his sleep and had been “unwell” for sometime according to the BBC.

With an acting career that spanned decades, Connery will probably b remembered most for being the first and best “James Bond” to grace the big screen. Connery also had memorable roles in the early 90s thriller “The Hunt for the Red October” and “The Rock”.

Connery’s role in “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” is his standout performance for me and made that particular movie the best in the franchise. Not to mention his chemistry with Harrison Ford and the late Denholm Elliott was second to none.

Then there was Derrell Hammond’s portrayal of Connery on SNL which certainly has to go down as one of the most memorable in that shows history. Not that Connery actually acted in those particular Jeopardy skits, however, it added to the Scottish actors pop culture phenomenon.
