This past Friday, the Fagradalsfjall volcano near Iceland’s capital of Reykjavik began erupting after being dormant for the past 800 years while unleashing some small earthquakes on the island nation.

Luckily, these types of effusive eruptions don’t tend to lead to much danger for the public and instead gift the rest of the World with some truly amazing photographs and videos putting on full display just how powerful and remarkable planet Earth actually is.

One of the more incredible videos was taken by Icelandic drone pilot Bjorn Steinbekk who was able to fly right though fissure spewing lava while being able to keep his drone intact.

Meanwhile, the rest of Iceland also managed to show how badass they are by pulling up right next to the lava flows and essentially and essentially sat down for a picnic.
