Jim Acosta

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee-Sanders otherwise known as ‘Baghdad Barbara’, announced tonight that CNN‘s Jim Acosta would have his press access suspended following a testy exchange between the reporter and Donald Trump during a press conference Wednesday morning.

Acosta confirmed the decision on Twitter and posted a video of the Secret Service denying him access to the White House grounds for his live feed Wednesday night.

Only in their typical cowardliness, the White House isn’t saying they’re suspending Acosta for him asking tough questions of the President and holding him accountable for his asinine and dangerous rhetoric, something he’s quite frankly not accustom to, Huckabee-Sanders is to push the spin-cycle on this whole damn thing. The official announcement states that Acosta is being suspended because he ” placed his hands on a young woman just trying to do her job as a White House intern.”

Here’s the statement via the Hollywood Reporter:

“President Trump believes in a free press and expects and welcomes tough questions of him and his administration,” Sanders said in the statement. “We will, however, never tolerate a reporter placing his hands on a young woman just trying to do her job as a White House intern.”

Sanders continued: “This conduct is absolutely unacceptable. It is also completely disrespectful to the reporter’s colleagues not to allow them an opportunity to ask a question. President Trump has given the press more access than any president in history. Contrary to CNN’s assertions, there is no greater demonstration of the president’s support for a free press than the event he held today. Only they would attack the president for not supporting a free press in the midst of him taking 68 questions from 35 different reporters over the course of 1.5 hours including several from the reporter in question. The fact that CNN is proud of the way their employee behaved is not only disgusting, it‘s an example of their outrageous disregard for everyone, including young women, who work in this administration. As a result of today’s incident, the White House is suspending the hard pass of the reporter involved until further notice.”

Acosta called the accusation against him “a lie” while CNN White House producer Allie Malloy wrote on Twitter that “the woman grabbed Jim’s arm repeatedly. He never once touched her. In fact at one point @Acosta tells her politely ‘pardon me, mam’ as she’s yanking on his arm.”

Video below pretty much confirms that Acosta absolutely did not put his hands on the intern during the exchange.

So there you have it. The ‘grab them by the pussy’ President is hiding behind a young female intern because he still can’t take the tough questions nor can he stand being held accountable for his bullshit.

Meanwhile, it’s unclear if the White House will draw up any further BS to punish NBC’s Peter Alexander who defended Acosta and continued to press Trump with more tough questions.
