Like every other mainstream corporate news channel, CNN is for the very most part trash. That is until we get to New Year’s Eve broadcast with Anderson Cooper, the addition of Andy Cohen to the program, a copious amount of alcohol, and all of a sudden CNN has the best New Year’s Eve show on television.
I mean who would’ve thought that the CNN execs would let their hair down long enough to give the green light on Andy Cohen getting Anderson Cooper as hammered as possible while trying to get him to drop acid on live TV?
That’s what good TV is made of right?
On top of that, you had Andy Cohen asking Snoop Dogg all the places he’s gotten high while simultaneously disabling Anderson Cooper due to uncontrollable drunken laughter.
How about a little Cohen ripping on Bill de Blasio? Yeah, they had that too…
CNN, we have a simple request. If you’re going to be a corporate media rag 364 days out of the year, at least get Andy Cohen as a co-host on AC 360. Jeff Zucker, make it happen.
