A town of roughly 10,400 people in northern Michigan is about to get what is essentially a fucking tank.
According to 9and10news.com, the city of Cadillac located in the northern part of Michigan’s lower peninsula will receive a new mine-resistant ambush protected truck, or MRAP free of charge thanks to a Government program.
That Government Program, also called the 1033 Program has been responsible for militarizing local police forces 1997. And since 2014 roughly $5.1 billion has been spent by the Federal Government in excess military equipment that has been given away to help local municipalities develop their own armies.
Meanwhile, we’re still sitting here debating the cost of healthcare in the United States while Flint, Michigan still doesn’t have clean drinking water and people are in massive amounts of debt thanks to student loans. Plus lets not forget Donald Trump has increased military spending which is something that was clearly needed since the Federal Government is just giving away shit like this.
