Disgraced film director Woody Allen, wants people to love him. More specifically those associated with the #MeToo movement.

At least that’s the feeling we get when Allen told France24 that he’s “done everything that the #MeToo movement would love to achieve.”

The Hollywood Reporter:

“I’ve worked with hundreds of actresses [and] not one of them has ever complained about me, not a single complaint. I’ve worked with, employed women in the top capacity, in every capacity, for years and we’ve always paid them exactly the equal of men,” he said in an interview with France24. “I’ve done everything that the #MeToo movement would love to achieve.”

In case anyone is confused, Allen is the same guy who once again has been under the microscope for a renewed focus on allegations that he sexually assaulted his adopted daughter Dylan Farrow when she was seven years old. He’s also the same scumbag who ended up marrying his adopted stepdaughter Soon-Yi Previn who he not only cheated with while married to Mia Farrow but is also 35-years his younger.

In light of these the renewed focus on Dylan Farrow’s accusations, actors Timothee Chalamet and Rebecca Hall have said they regretted working on Allen’s latest film, Rainy Day in New York, despite these claims being made public for years now and convienient enough too that filming had already been wrapped up. In any sense, both Chalamet and Hall are said to be donating their salary from the film to anti-abuse charities.

I’m sure the same cannot be said for Scarlett Johansson made headlines for defending Woody Allen in The Hollywood Reporter‘s latest cover story.

Anyways, we can probably safely say that the #MeToo movement will probably tell Allen to go fuck himself.
