Michigan governor Rick Snyder is apparently going to drink Flint water for a month

Flint

As the residents of Flint, Michigan continue to be weary of drinking the water that basically poisoned an entire city population of people (not to mention an generation of children) Michigan governor Rick Snyder decided to alleviate those fears by committing to drink the City’s water for the next 30 days.

Here’s Snyder telling the Washington Post how he’ll somehow get the people of Flint to trust him again despite the tremendous fail of epic proportions at the State level.

“I completely understand why some Flint residents are hesitant to drink the water and I am hopeful I can alleviate some of the skepticism and mistrust by putting words to action,” Snyder told reporters. “Flint residents made it clear that they would like to see me personally drink the water, so today I am fulfilling that request. And I will continue drinking Flint water at work and at home for at least 30 days.”

Not that the Flint water failure is all Snyder’s fault. Nor should this be turned into some kind of partisan debate which always seems to be the case even if it’s at the expense of hundreds of poisoned kids. Nonetheless the failure starts at the top and Snyder’s actions here are clearly too little too late.
