#CocksNotGlocks was trending after students at the University of Texas in Austin passed out dildos to help protest the school’s open carry gun laws.

According to the Texas Tribune, around 4,500 sex toys were given out after a new state law allowed people to open carry guns on public university campuses. In response the Cocks not Glocks protest group that formed last fall urged individuals to open carry the rubber penises  anywhere and everywhere someone could carry a gun, like the UT classrooms.

In addition to simply passing out the toys, the protesters also came ready with t-shirt to give away and penis juggling. The penis juggling and the passing out of the fake rubber dicks was apparently a violation of UT’s code of conduct and obscenity policy. UT’s obscenity policy states that “no person or organization will distribute or display on the campus any writing or visual image, or engage in any public performance, that is obscene … as defined in Texas Penal Code, Section 43.21 or successor provisions.” But the dildo distribution was “protected political speech,” university spokesman J.B. Bird said in an email
