Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell has apparently seen enough when it comes to accused sexual predator Roy Moore.

McConnell “believes(s) the women”.

The Kentucky senator whose been no fan of Moore even before multiple women accused the former judge of inappropriate sexual conduct told the media today that basically he’s seen all he needs to see when it comes to the accusations and that he believes the women in their claims. This includes Moore allegedly groping a then 14-year-old girl back in the 1970’s when he was 32-years-old.

McConnell stepped up his comments against Moore who’s fighting to take the vacated seat of Jeff Sessions in the Senate. Previously McConnell only called on the controversial Judge to end his bid for the seat (if the accusations were true) which the Senate Majority Leader reiterated today before firmly standing in the corner of Moore’s accusers.

Moore hasn’t exactly fully denied having relationships with teen girls while in his 30’s. During an appearance on Hannity, Moore stated that the most recent allegations against him are “false” and “misleading” only to go on to say that he “doesn’t remember” dating women that much younger than him.

He then said, “After my return from the military I dated a lot of young ladies.” Four women have accused him of pursuing them when he was in his 30s and they ranged in age from 14 to 18. But Moore then changed his tune, saying “I don’t remember” dating women that much younger than him, and, “I don’t remember ever dating any girl without the permission of her mother.” And later he said “it would have been out of my customary behavior” to date women that young when he was in his thirties.

The Washington Post first broke the story of Leigh Corfman who is accusing Moore of inappropriate sexual conduct when she was 14-years-old and he was a prosecutor in his early 30’s.

Moore has since threatened to sue the WaPo over their original reporting.
