Houston CBS affiliate KHOU11 went off the air Sunday morning as flood waters caused by the remnants of Hurricane Harvey began to submerge the station’s building.
KHOU11’s managing editor tweeted out a video showing the flood waters making its way into the building’s lobby. Meanwhile KHOU11 meteorologist Blake Matthews added that the water has risen a foot in 15 minutes.

Furthermore according to Bishop, the station apparently found a “temporary home” at the Houston branch of the Federal Reserve Bank.
Meanwhile, KHOU11’s Brandi Smith who was anchoring coverage from Houston’s roadways managed to flag down a rescue crew for a semi truck driver who became trapped in his rig as the waters began to rise.
She posted a video of the rescue on social media:
Hurricane Harvey made landfall as a category three storm late Friday/early Saturday morning on the Texas Gulf Coast laying waste to much of the coastal cities in that area including Corpus Christi.
Aside from the initial wind, the flood waters continue to be the most dangerous aspects of the remaining storm as rain is expected through Friday.
