There have been many entertaining Super Bowl halftime shows, then there was Prince’s 2007 performance which is often regarded as the best in Super Bowl history.
The rain soaked setting in South Beach which seemed to be the least of ideal situations given the game and media spotlight was probably the most ideal situation for Prince which made the set even more remarkable. Playing flawlessly in a downpour, working the stage without a slip up… it’s something only true masters can pull off and Prince was one of those masters.
